When do You Schedule a Job?

You choose from and agree to a schedule during your application to a job opportunity.

If you cannot meet the scheduling requirements listed within the opportunity details, do not apply for the job. Instead, click "Not Interested" and indicate that you cannot meet the scheduling options.

If scheduling issues arise after you have applied to and been awarded the job, you can request to reschedule the job from within your Control Center.

 

Getting Started

If you need to reschedule a job, you can do so by requesting to modify the job from within the job details page. You can access a specific job from your "My Jobs" page - click into the job you want to modify.

Raising the Request 

1. Once you are in the job details page, click Modify Job.

2. Select "Reschedule Job" from the drop down.

3. Enter the date and time you wish to reschedule the job to.

4. Provide an explanation as to why the job should be rescheduled, then submit the request.

5. Once submitted, the request will appear as a task within the Execution Stage of the job. What happens next depends on whether the date and time you proposed fall within our auto-approval thresholds. 

  • If your proposed rescheduled date and time fall within our auto-approval thresholds, our system will automatically approve your request, mark the task as "Done," and update the scheduling information to the date and time you submitted.

  • If your proposed rescheduled date and time fall outside of our auto-approval thresholds, your request will be sent to DMG, where a member of our team will either approve, reject, or edit* your request. The status of the task will remain "In Progress" until our team addresses your request.

    • If approved by a member of our team, the scheduling details will update to those you proposed.
    • If our team can accommodate rescheduling the job, but not at the exact date and or time you proposed, we may edit your request and approve a modified date and/or time. The system will apply the scheduling modifications submitted by our team to the job.
    • If your request is rejected, the scheduling details will not change from what was previously agreed upon.

 

Want to Cancel Your Request?

If you wish to cancel your request before it is finalized by a member of our team, click into the in progress task, then click "Cancel Request." The status of the task will change to "Cancelled" and no changes will be made to the scheduled date and time.

When can't You Request to Reschedule a Job?

You cannot request to reschedule a job if:

  • a technician is currently checked in to the job on site
  • the job has already been marked complete
